The RB35 SP Magnetic Based Drill is a revolution in mag drills. The incredibly powerful magnet achieves excellent adhesion, even to thin sheet steel. Because the magnetic base doesn't require an electrical supply, power cuts or damages to the supply cable during operation, still leaves the machine fixed solidly to the material being drilled - a great Health & Safety advantage. Another advantage of this machine, is that should it be left magnetised to a surface for a prolonged period, there would be no damage caused to the magnet, whereas the traditional electric version would probably overheat and burn out the magnetic coil. This unit is lightweight and very simple to use. Just position the drill in place and push down the rear lever. The permanent magnet produces a magnetic force that is higher than the one produced by the conventional and commercially available electro magnets. The machine has a built-in sensor / LED which informs the user of the adhesion strength of the magnet. The motor to base sliding plates / guides have also been addressed on this machine. These are now "self-adjusting", reducing the risk of chatter at the cutting head.
